Trip to Lisse

In early July the whole team traveled to Paris to practice Parkour in a Small Suberb called Lisse (where parkour was developed by David Belle). On the first day we explored Paris paracticing flips beneath and on the Eiffel tower. That night we steaked out the pizza place oposite our hotel using our Camera zoom. The next day we got up early and struck out for Lisse. We took a double decker train (which Chris and Charlie were very exited about) to Evry near lisse. We then walked to lisse, missing out a fantastic spot in our rush to get there (shut up jac).Chris manged to pull off a brilliant standing Gainer on the way. Then we spoted Dame du Lac.

We went through the open gate and stood there in ore of how enourmous it was. We all got to work climbing jumping and vaulting all over it. Every thing was so much bigger in real life as opsed to on the videos i had watched over and over again back at home. This added to my respect for people such as David Belle,
Sebastian Goudout ,Sebastian Foucan, Danny Ilbacca, Bruno and other Traceurs i had seen videos of in Lisse.A man came up to us and told us he did Parkour and that we better leave as the police might come i thanked him for his advice. We left Dame du Lac content and exousted and headed over to the town to other famous hants in Lisse. While vaulting some walls near the stone circle a group of 18 year olds walked past us a said to Charlie "that guy looks like Bruno from that Lisse video". later he came over and said that he did Parkour and his name was Bruno i asked if that it was him in the video i had seen he said yes and then proceded to blow our minds with his incredible skills. I can safley say i have never seen anything like. Fast yet controled powerful but agile. I was very pleased with myself after just managing to follow him up the school roof wich he got up with ease. I was tempeted to ask if i could get a photo with him but being nearly his age i felt like too much of a fanboy.
It was the middle of the day and the sun became far too hot to stay out in so we sought refuge and food in a small cafe. We must of spent at least 2 hours there accedently offending the waitrees and haveing a histericaly funny time.
We spent the rest of the day in Lisse training and meeting yet more traceurs. We returned home to are hotel nackerd and filled with happy memories. That night we explored paris at night and found and empty shoping centre we slid down the turned off escalators.
On the 3rd day we went to the park and me and chriss lernt the Double planch wich Chris wanted to do at every opertunity, i was not so enthusyastic beaing exausted from the day before. We return home very happy already planing our next trip.
Sadley we have no photos from the trip as Charlie lost his camera on the way back but we do have lots of fotage so when we mange to edit togther we will post up a video. Hope you enjoyed reading about are awsome trip.

The Gorilla Man Clan

The Gorilla Man Clan is a Group of young people from York dedicated to practicing practical and original movement. We practice Parkour, the art of moving from one place to another efficiently and fluidly, overcoming the obstcles in front of you. We also practice acrobatics and are interested in pacticing martial arts, primarily wushu or taekwondo. We were inspired to do what we do by influences such as Jackie Chan, David Belle (the founder of Parkour), Daniel Illabacca (one of the most talemted individuals in britain), Owen and Jin from the Cambridge Traceurs and Films such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Rumble in the Bronx and B13.
